RECYCLED MATERIALS
With each and every collection that is released by Doyle, it is our goal to increase the use of recycled and responsibly sourced materials to support the work we do with the marine industry alongside Doyle Sails. This year, we have partnered with suppliers in Europe as well as in China to design and develop yarns and materials made from re purposed plastic material that would otherwise end up in landfill.
Our newly released recycled range is the first collection where we have put our development of various materials into production and we are proud to continue along these lines and broaden this recycled range even further.
RESPONSIBLE SOURCING
To source products responsibly we must look at the wide range of variants that make up each and every one of our suppliers. Our commitment to ensure that our business and relationships with suppliers remains one that is in line with our protocols around child labour, bonded labour and to reduce the risk and vulnerabilities of women within our supply chain.
Our goal is to have 100% transparency across our supply chain, which we hope to achieve by 2020. In order to meet this goal it is important that we build strong, personal relationships with each and every supplier which we continue to make significant progress with.
HOW WE PURCHASE
Our range of Doyle apparel is designed, developed and manufactured in annual cycles. For this reason, we try where possible to not put any added pressure on our suppliers to deliver our products within an unreasonable lead time. We understand that the demands on suppliers from seasonal fashion companies can be unrealistic and we take pride in not adding to this pressure. We also understand that in our constant search for quality, the price we pay our suppliers needs to be fair and reasonable with a long term goal of growing and supporting our supply base.
